History

Joni Leben began working with a nationally recognized test preparation firm in 2007, and quickly rose to the highest level possible for an educator within that organization. Although the experience of working closely with students was greatly rewarding, the high-pressure sales tactics and cookie-cutter instructional plans were not. Rather than switch to another "big box" test preparation company, Joni decided to branch out into private, home-based tutoring for standardized tests and general coursework.

Since 2009, Central Ohio Tutoring has offered individualized, student-driven tutoring, focused on content knowledge and skill-building, to help students reach their personal academic goals. No two students are the same, so each tutoring program is custom designed around your student's specific needs and goals. With this approach, our students have been incredibly successful in meeting not just test score goals, but raising GPAs, boosting confidence, and gaining admission to first choice colleges and universities, as well as graduate and professional schools all over the country.
